Sector: Civil Constrcution (Build)
Location: UAE
Salary Package: Up to AED 20,000 to 30,000
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Develop, maintain, and monitor the overall project baseline programme.
- Plan, organize, and coordinate all construction planning activities.
- Develop appropriate construction sequences and methodologies in coordination with the Project Manager and construction team.
- Prepare detailed schedules covering engineering, procurement, construction, testing, and handover activities.
- Develop and maintain the Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) and ensure accurate resource and time forecasting.
- Establish project milestones, key contractual dates, and critical path activities.
- Monitor project progress against the approved baseline programme and identify delays or potential risks.
- Coordinate interfaces between design, engineering, procurement, subcontractors, and site execution teams.
- Update project schedules based on actual progress and inputs from the project team.
- Prepare recovery programmes and mitigation plans where required.
- Prepare and maintain manpower/resource histograms, S-curves, progress charts, and cash-flow forecasts.
- Collect, analyze, and validate project progress data from various departments and site teams.
- Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports for management and the client.
- Identify programme risks, delays, and critical activities and provide recommendations for corrective actions.
- Support delay analysis, extension of time, and time-impact analysis when required.
- Ensure planning activities are aligned with project objectives, contractual requirements, and construction milestones.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering.
- Minimum 15 years of experience in construction and project planning, preferably with major building, commercial, residential, high-rise, or mixed-use projects.
- Strong experience working for main contractors / construction contracting companies.
- Excellent knowledge of Primavera P6 and other project planning software.
- Strong understanding of construction methodologies, sequencing, baseline programmes, critical path, progress monitoring, and delay analysis.
- Ability to provide technical planning leadership within a multidisciplinary construction environment.
- Strong analytical, reporting, coordination, and communication skills.
- Good knowledge of project controls, resource planning, S-curves, manpower histograms, and cash-flow forecasting.
- MMUP/UPDA Grade A or equivalent engineering classification is desirable.
- Candidates must be willing to work in Abu Dhabi, UAE.
