Our client is an one of my client’s who are a massive O&M providers within Power generation sector

 

The role requires a Maintenance Manager for one of their massive Cogeneration power facility based in Saudi Arabia

 

Manage and supervise the day-to-day operations of desalination plants, ensuring optimal performance and adherence to safety standards.

• Develop and implement operational strategies to enhance efficiency, productivity, and cost-effectiveness of desalination processes.

• Lead and guide a team of operators, technicians, and support staff, providing training, support, and direction as necessary.

• Coordinate maintenance schedules, repairs, and upgrades of desalination equipment and facilities to ensure uninterrupted operation.

• Monitor and maintain water quality standards, implementing measures to meet regulatory requirements and ensure the production of high-quality potable water.

• Manage operational budgets, track expenses, and identify opportunities for cost savings without compromising quality or safety.

• Ensure compliance with environmental regulations, health, and safety standards, implementing protocols to mitigate risks and maintain a safe working environment.

• Prepare operational reports, maintain records, and document procedures for operational improvements and regulatory compliance.

• Address operational issues, troubleshoot technical problems, and implement corrective measures to minimize downtime.

• Liaise with stakeholders, government agencies, and contractors, fostering positive relationships and ensuring alignment with organizational goals.

 

Requirements:

 

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, or related field); Master’s degree preferred.
• Proven experience (typically 8+ years) in CCGT, Cogeneration or desalination plant operations or related fields.
• Strong technical knowledge of desalination processes, including reverse osmosis, thermal, or other advanced technologies.
• Leadership and managerial skills, with the ability to effectively lead a team and manage operations.
• Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements in the water treatment industry.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and the capacity to make sound decisions in high-pressure situations.
• Proficiency in budget management, resource allocation, and cost-control measures.
• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective collaboration and reporting.
