SEBO redesigned the handle geometry on these premium canisters, and the 6179ER won't seat securely without this sleeve. If you own one of these three canisters and want to use the handheld turbo brush for stairs, upholstery, or pet hair, the 1777ST is required.

Installation is a tool-free friction fit — slide the sleeve onto the handle, attach the 6179ER, and you're cleaning. Older SEBO canisters and uprights connect directly to the 6179ER without an adapter, so this sleeve is specifically a D4/E3/K3 part.
