Puntius is a genus of small freshwater fish in the family Cyprinidae native to South Asia and Mainland Southeast Asia, as well as Taiwan. Many species formerly placed in Puntius have been moved to other genera such as Barbodes, Dawkinsia, Desmopuntius, Haludaria, Oliotius, Pethia, Puntigrus, Sahyadria and Systomus.
Puntius tetrazona, it is a gregarious species forming loose hierarchies, with rival males continually battling with each other for female attention and hierarchical position within the group. So, they are very active fish that looks great in a community tank.
The Green Tiger Barb's main body is deep fluorescent green with silver/gold blotches and orange accented fins. They are a very lively, playful fish that prefers to be in schools.
