Our client is a renowned interior fit-out contractor known for delivering high-end, innovative solutions for a diverse range of commercial, residential, and hospitality projects in Dubai. With a reputation for excellence and a commitment to quality, they pride themselves on creating bespoke, cutting-edge interiors. Due to rapid growth and an expanding project portfolio, they are looking to add a talented Joinery Estimator to their team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Estimating and Costing: Prepare accurate and detailed joinery estimates for various interior fit-out projects, including material take-offs, labor costs, and timeframes.
- Tendering: Assist in the preparation of competitive tenders for joinery works, ensuring adherence to client specifications and project requirements.
- Supplier and Subcontractor Coordination: Liaise with suppliers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to obtain quotes, ensuring all costs are accounted for and accurate.
- Project Analysis: Review and analyze project drawings, specifications, and scope of work to ensure all joinery-related requirements are covered.
- Cost Control: Monitor project costs throughout the project lifecycle to ensure they remain within the budget.
- Reporting: Prepare and present detailed cost reports to senior management, highlighting potential risks and areas of concern.
- Continuous Improvement: Contribute to the ongoing development of estimating processes and practices to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Joinery Estimator in the interior fit-out sector (5+ years preferred).
- Strong knowledge of joinery materials, techniques, and construction methods.
- Excellent understanding of construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Excellent attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- A degree or diploma in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or Civil Engineering
